Over 3,500 people in the Bay area attended the biggest outreach the Miracle Center Church has ever hosted, feeding almost 1,000 families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday on Sunday, November 24th at the George M. Steinbrenner Field!
With just 9 weeks to organize something of this magnitude, hundreds of families were contacted through social services regarding the poor, fallen soldiers, unwed mothers, transitional living facilities, and section-eight housing. Special performances included: music by the Miracle Center worship band, a powerful demonstration by Mike Hagen’s Strength Team, an evangelical drama by Youth With A Mission Tampa, the Fritzy Brothers One Man Circus and more! Local news stations even covered the story and aired it on the evening news.
We distributed over 1,000 frozen turkeys, canned green beans and corn, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn bread, gravy and more! More than 150 volunteers came to serve that day, giving our city an afternoon of festivities, hope and encouragement. And hundreds of people raised their hands to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
Partners, with Your support and Your seed, we were able to provide over 900 families a complete Thanksgiving meal! You helped set the table to bless the city of Tampa this holiday season!
